Welcome to the Scott County website.

Scott County is home to approximately 5,000 Kansans, and stretches across well over 700 square miles of Kansas prairie.  Scott County was organized on January 29, 1886, and named in honor of Major General Winfield Scott, United States Army, hero of the Mexican War.

Notice of Ballot Audit

As required by K.S.A. 25-3009, a post-election audit of ballots cast in 1% of precincts in Scott County will begin at 9 A.M. on Thursday, November 7th, at the election office. We will audit no less than two precincts and two contested races for the general election. The precincts and races to be audited will be selected in a random drawing at the start of the audit. When the audit has been completed, the audit results are used by the county board of canvassers when certifying the official election results.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE THE APPRAISER, CLERK, REGISTER OF DEEDS AND TREASURER OFFICES ARE OPEN DURING THE LUNCH HOUR !
